Attempted to reserve a Wrangler for when I am in Vegas next month. Just got this email from Sixt:
We have reviewed your booking enquiry for [date] at 12:00 for the Las Vegas McCarran Airport station and unfortunately are unable to confirm it.
We hope to offer you a rental vehicle soon again. You can reach us 24 hours a day via the Sixt website.
As of writing, they still show it as available on their site and I am kind of annoyed by this.
Ahh well, gives me another chance to try and find something cheaper. Maybe I’ll finally give Turo a go (probably not...).

I have only had good results with Sixt, then again I was in Europe.

Turo left me stranded in Lubbock, TX and were a pain in the ass to get a refund from. Good luck.

Not surprised this happened. Turo is very much hit or miss. They have terrible customer service but some of the cars just make it worth it. It really depends though and can be a crap shoot. But no way could I have affordably rented so many different manual fun cars any other way.

We aren’t really supposed to use them for work but the city was out of (national chain) rental cars. I had to drive about 110 miles round trip from the airport so Uber wasn’t going to work either. Ended up renting from “J ack’s scrapyard” or some crapshoot but they were at least very nice people. Even if it was a ten year old Altima with 100,000 miles.
